Have you had a 25 hydroxy vitamin D test? could be the cause of decreased bone density. It appears many of us are deficient in Vit D, another factor that should be studied further.Farah

What would cause light green urine after higher sodium intake. Happens everytime

no matter what food is eaten.

No, I'm not colorblind.lol Usually the urine is of normal color and frequency.

But whenever eating more sodium, it always turns a light pale green color and

then to clear. and then when it seems the excess sodium is out then it turns

back to normal. This happens everytime and doesn't matter what I eat. Does

anyone else do this too?

No, I wasn't cutting out too much salt. I had a very low slt diet because it improved most symptoms related to salt ingestion. It would turn a pale green color and then after going several times then it would turn clear. This is in a couple of hour span. then it would go back to normal when it seemed excess sodium was out because then I started to feel better some.

Thanks for the search. I'll look into those symptoms online.

Re: Calcium levels.

I did a search for green urine. there is something called Hypercalcemia that can make your green urine. DefinitionBy Mayo Clinic staffHypercalcemia is a condition in which the calcium level in your blood is above normal. You need calcium for bone formation. It also plays an important role in contracting muscles, releasing hormones, and ensuring that your nerves and brain function properly. High calcium levels, however, can interfere with these processes. The main cause of hypercalcemia is overactivity in one or more of your parathyroid glands, which regulate calcium. Post-menopausal women are most likely to develop hypercalcemia caused by overactive parathyroid glands. Other causes of hypercalcemia include cancer, certain other medical disorders, some medications, and excessive use of calcium and vitamin D supplements. Signs and symptoms of hypercalcemia may range from nonexistent to severe. Treatment depends on the underlying cause. > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > Has anyone here had any problems with high calcium loss in> > > > urine.> > > > > > > > Is it associated with hypertension/hyperaldosteronism?> > > > > > > >> > > > > > > >> > > > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > >> > > >> > > >> > >> >> >> >> >> >>

I used to take A-S regularly until it quit working.

They took out the Na Bicarb. I recall it vividly - that's what I used for IBS.

Wiki is not a ref - look on the package if you can find it.

I never see it anymore.

Right, I just take soda now for IBS.

Yes, I know it's sodium, but calcium carbonate does not metabolize quickly.

Regards

I'd be interested too. Having an adenoma on left adrenal, cyst? on thyroid and not sure how the parathyroids are but had nodules light up on internal jugular. Recently was thought to have hypercalcaemia. Weak, felt like dying. Could not even walk, pain down leg, in joints. Got nowhere with dr went home and took potassium and magnesium myself which helped. Being in Aust. hot here, sweating has been profuse. Can only tolerate salt in minimal quantity now. Never had salt loading tests before and have been checked for pheochromocytoma as well. Jury still out on a diagnosis.

Caffeine, chocolate, alcohol all triggers for chest pain and palps. Now having cramps and spasms when I get too active. PTH upper part of range. Blood calcium middle. But I cannot survive summers without spironolactone and so far have not taken calcium orally.

Not sure what to do after the high urinary reading. Still on the testing wagon !!

What kind of tests are they running for parathyroid?

[hyperaldosteronism ] Re: Calcium levels.

Treatment depends on

the underlying cause. > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > Has anyone here had any problems with high calcium loss in> > > > urine.> > > > > > > > Is it associated with hypertension/ hyperaldosteroni
