Guest guest
Hi Missy, I have peripheral neuropathy pain (severe at times). I have a neurostimulator implant. I find it really helps me, especially at night. I also take Cymbalta. According to my doctor once the dosage gets up to 120 mg per day it is really a good treatment for neuropathy pain. I haven't had any negative side effects from either method I use.

Guest guest
Missy, I was on Neurontin, Lycria, Cymbalta and a few others. All of which I had some kind of bad side affect. Mostly they mad me more tired and with CMT I have found that I have enough fatigue as it is. I found alternative medicine on another CMT site. I thought I would give it a try. I am much better. I still have pain and get symptomatic, but not half as much as before. I have been on the supplements for over a month now. The first thing you must know is never stop taking a drug you have been on right away. Find out from the doctor if you need to wean off of it. I take CoQ-10,L-Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Bio Sil. All of these can be bought at most drug stores and health food stores. I feel much better. my spasms aren't as frequent and I don't have as much pain as i did. I'm hoping the longer I'm on them the better I will feel. If you would like more info feel free to e-mail me. Good Luck, Briget
