Guest guest
I have followed up with the Cardiologist after my ER visit last week with chest, neck, jaw pain and bp 185/102. I found out today that the chemical stress test, aka Nuclear Myocardial Infusion test has revealed a fixed defect on the lateral wall (the left side) of my heart on both the stressed and relaxed scans. I of course presented my Aldo/Renin papers which were of no use because he doesn't know anything about PA. I mentioned that some with PA present with left ventricular mass. He said he really doubted that that would be the cause. He said the only way to know was to do a heart cath. Now I'm on the fence, do a heart cath or pursue the PA. The chest pains have subsided but I do have one about once day though it is not piercing pain and comes with shortness of breath. I am forwarding my labs to a specialist in hopes that he will take my case on and help me out. I have had 2 reading of high aldo/renin >120.
