Guest guest
Hi there everyone Hope you don't mind but this time I'm posting on behalf of a friend with a 12 year old son. Have you ever heard of yeast causing a false need to keep going to the loo ? - suddenly having been fine her son is now rushing to the bathroom every 5 mins mostly as she says for no reason. Also he now has a "robot" in his head which orders him about and which he hates - have you ever heard of this sort of thing caused by vitamin or mineral deficiencies ? - She is very concerned in case its an early indicator of schizophrenia. any comments or advice very much appreciated. thanx sharon x

Guest guest
My son is 12 and has voices in his head, he calls it his other mind! He has no rushing to the loo though.. I don't think in his case it is yeast related, more some kind of anxiety thing alongside being very isolated by his condition. My sons voices tell him to do things like OCD type behaviours that he knows are irrational but is compelled to do because the voices say so. They also tell him bad things which he refuses to discuss. It's very worrying as he says he hears them almost constantly every day. They tell him not to do things as well as to do things, ie not to do stuff he enjoys. He tells me they freak him out. False need is suggesting cystitis type thing to me, maybe GP would run a urine test? Mandi x

Guest guest
When we had our son's urine tested, and it had high kyurenic acid and high quinolinate, I looked them up - they are both linked to schizophrenia and hallucinations. This explained the episodes that he had been having, which looked to us as if he was hallucinating. Stopping b vitamine and using vitamins d and k to deal with glutamate helped. We have also been using anti-strep herbs. Since stopping b's and starting d and k vitamins, there have been no more hallucinations. Absolutely none. Herbs are also helping to deal with bacteria and strep. I would not be surprised if quinolinate and kyurenic acid do NOT show so high on another Organix test - apparently these are by-products of particularly nasty bacteria.
