Guest guest
I got my workout in this morning despite not really wanting to move that much. Just tired and overwhelmed with the Christmas stuff I think. I was going to do Ripped to the Core but did the 3 Mile Walk Slim instead because it is shorter and I really wanted more cardio plus I didn't want to drag all the equipment upstairs. Been eating too many stupid sweets lately. I don't normally keep it in the house and every night DH opens up the chocolate covered caramel popcorn and puts some out for me (and then more and more) so I'm a bit afraid of the scale this week (even though I was down under my goal last week). I can't wait for the sweets to be gone again! Anyway, as I was doing my workout, with just music, my DVD player froze up! This is the 2nd time in a week it has done that. It did it a lot when we first got it, then it quit doing it and now it is acting up again. I hope it doesn't keep doing it. I was almost done with the workout but not done enough so I found the spot I'd left off at and tried again and it finished it for me after a long enough interruption that brought my heart rate way down. Maybe that was like doing intervals?! :-) I'm keeping Kassia's note to Jen on a suggestion for a good dvd/vcr player!! I feel a lot better that I got my workout in. I had to bargain with myself through most of it (just get to the 20 minute mark, okay, now do 5 more minutes, etc.). By the time it froze up I had forgotten about my bargaining and really wanted to finish the whole thing because in the last mile is my favorite! Also, patting myself on the back for making myself a healthy smoothie for a snack instead of eating all the sugary treats around here. I know my smoothie will help me go through work and into whenever I can get lunch whereas those treats would only have me wanting more in 5 minutes. If I could only do that all day I'd be in business (of course later I have to make some special and very fattening cookies for gifts.... dough is a huge weakness for me too, I made the dough yesterday and didn't eat a lot of it so hopefully I'll do well today too!).
