Or use butternut squash chunks for chips/ roast. I think there's a recipe for haricot bean mash on the pecanbread site? When you've been following diet for a while you could try 30+ day matured cheddar and add that to it. We roast a whole lot of allowed root veg in with the Sunday roast and just have that. (Beetroot, carrot, celeriac, broccoli, swede, courgette...) When we first started Nic would barely tolerate a veg in the same room, so we smothered all the veg with honey and baked it till it was crisp. Then gave him his tea 1/2 hour later than usual.
