Mazzariello, a 47-year-old trial attorney from New York, also is suing Pfizer in a separate suit over problems he said were caused by Lipitor. The $12-billion-a-year drug ruined his life by causing muscle and nerve damage and memory loss, Mazzariello said at a news conference Thursday. Mazzariello took Lipitor for two months, and was on the drug for a little more than a year, they said.
