Guest guest Posted July 22, 2008 Report Share Posted July 22, 2008 okay okay not the scheduled workout AGAIN!! i got home from scouts rather late and didn't have time AGAIN to preview CIA 2202. something with this dang workout that i just can't get a chance to see it before i jump in and try it again.the first time i didn't even make it past the warm up LOL. so instead i figured i have to keep at least trying virgin workouts to shorten this list up so i did kari's benchworks. i also have her TWO the max which is half step/half hi-lo and was quite easy to follow. this one hour workout was no different. its one hour with warm up a few very easy to follow step combos(maybe a little more tricky then gin miller but still very easy compared to other step videos) THEN total body aerobics using a resistance band and a step. some were upper/lower combination exercises and some were basic stepping with upper body movements on and off the bench. a slight funky cool down brings us down to the bench for some push ups,triceps with the band and abs on the step before a nice stretch. the trickest move in the workouts was turning around on the step. i am sure those that have done cathe know her infamous turn on the board when jumping the length of the bench. kari does this for a few rounds too but much slower pace so one can keep up but she also shows modifications. her class doesn't but she will. its an older video dated 1991 and the paisley flower leotards and brightly colored spandex leggings show. even one of the poor males in the background has a hot pink shirt on(and he does not look amused LOL). the music reflects some cheesy jazzy type stuff but it doesn't overpower her except maybe a bit in the cool down and toning work. but that is what you get for older videos LOL. overall i like kari in the two videos i have tried. there are some on netflix i am also waiting to try to see if she still kept up on her good cueing and breakdown skills. although these workouts were much easier my understanding is some later releases have a bit of more complex choreography so it peaked my curiosity to give her a try as well. so glad i didn't lack of energy kill my motivation to workout. i so wanted to badly before viola went to camp but just couldn't wake up yet. i think i have to try a small snack before bed esp at T.O.M. b/c i keep waking up with less energy. not really feeling hungry b/c who is ready to eat at quarter to 6am but i am sure that is what it is. my body is famished even though i have no appetite. and we woman know that one week a month really zaps energy so we need a little extra to keep us going. off to shower(man i stink LOL)have a great onekassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used to have 2 the Max, in fact, I may still have it - gotta check. Ithink she is a good instructor and it is fun to pull out the oldies once in awhile and get a chuckle over the clothing!
