Guest guest
morning all,VERY busy yesterday never had a chance to post/review yesterday's workout. i did gin miller best of reebok step followed with amy bento's abs and stretch doing the second ab workout and the first stretch workout. i haven't done the abs in awhile so it was refreshing to revisit but i get much use out of the stretch segments.for Reebok step it was a 51 min workout with a short warm up, shorter leg workout, and stretch while the body of the workout was made up of roughly 30-35 min of stepping. there were 3 step segments. the first one was basic stepping which was a lot of basic and v-steps and knee ups with funky arms. very easy to follow and she got her cast involved heavily by having them cue the funky arm movements. the second was power stepping which added in turn steps and jumps to the basic movements like tap ups and v-steps. a little more intense workout wise but still easy choreography wise. the last segment was hip hop step. maybe a little more tricky for those not familiar with dancier choreography but it was still very very easy for me to follow. if you have ever done a jen galardi dance workout alot of that was similar but taking a few moves on the step and a few moves were done on the floor. the leg workout was just some squat variations on and off the step it had to be roughly 5-7 min. then it was a short stretch segment. which is why i added on amy's workouts b/c i felt i just didn't get enough on this one. the workout was okay i really like gin-she is upbeat without being annoyingly peppy and she really breaks down the moves even if they are simple moves. i just found this workout a tad boring b/c i had energy and usually i do easy workouts like this when my motivation is lacking. its a good workout for myself to have for those day but this would rate high beginner/intermediate with the choreography and intensity. so for those if you see this at a goodwill GET IT! gin is worth it for steppers who aren't in the complex realm yet. you get a good workout with the basics. today's workout was contact 2 with tae-bo this is the dvd where he uses his tae-bo blow up punching bag. basically the same as his first you take punches(and only one kick in this workout, the first one i believe had a few more kicking rounds) slow motion to get controlled and feel of the bag then bringing up the pace slightly. i just mimicked like i had a bag and it worked out. a very body controlled type of workout so i did get some burn in the shoulders and triceps b/c of intense focus on the proper form. not an overall calorie burner but a nice light workout for sure. my shoulders are a little sore b/c i fell asleep on the couch so this workout really helped loosen things up. did break a little sweat b/c during his marching i did some jump ropes or jacks. i have to so get laundry done today but i just don't have the motivation too!!! hard enough to get up and workout now i have to do more housework LOL. have a great onekassia ldy_solana's domainScouting for All Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will
