Hello, out of 'lurking' modus :)

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for a good while here... I thought it would be only fair to

say hello and introduce myself.

I'm Irina, 35, living in the Netherlands, but born and raised in Romania. My

granny was the local herbalist so she taught me a lot on the medicinal

properties of herbs, plants and flowers. It wasn't till later that I grew

interested in the scent of natural compounds and especially mixing them into

perfume blends.

I was mostly doing loads of tincturing from plants I grow myself or spices I can

buy at the local whole foods store. And then I've began doing more research and

read more on essential oils, organic chemistry, perfume allergens and the likes.

That's how I got here. I find information on the 'purity' of natural extracts

very interesting, just like the environmental issues and lately how to fit

natural perfumery in a vegan lifestyle. As I'm allergic to many perfume

compounds (including the natural kind) I'm always looking for reliable sources

of oils that go well with my condition.
