Guest guest
Larry, I have a bit of hand edema (bilateral). It isn't so much visible but I can feel the puffiness. I don't know if it's CMT related or not. Also, I've been having quite a bit of hand and lower arm pain.
Guest guest
, Mine is right hand only. It feels as if I could get rid of the edema my hand would regain function. I am seeing the doctor tomorrow about this. I take Lyrica (450mg/Day) and one of the side effects is " weight gain " which implies water retention, but as it is only in one hand ... Thaks for the response -- I will pass on anything I find out. -- Larry

Guest guest
My family doctor said that there may be three processes -- inflammatory, neurological, or circulatory. All three processes are not general, but specific to the hand/forearm/arm from some kind of trauma. Two of the three (inflammatory, and neurological) are treated the royal drug of choice for " I don't know, but... " , prednisone. I am in the third day of a none day course and the edema is going down nicely. Unfortunately I have to put up with the sequelae of steroids. Ugh!
