Guest guest
Hi Darcy! Congrats!I have to turn in my QA (Quality Assurance) units/hours for my sign language interpreting license by the end of June (that's when it's due.) I've decided to mail it at the beginning of this week (early) in case there is some problem with my paperwork. According to the state of Michigan I have to have 24 QA units (24 units = 24 hours) of continuing education and pay $30 in order to keep my license. I have to do this every year until the 4th year when I have to take the interpreting test again. I have 48 units which is double what I need so I should be fine but I'd rather be safe than sorry and make sure every thing is up to par BEFORE the end of June. I'm planning to go for national certification which would mean more money, AND no more tests every 4 years! It's expensive but I'm going to save my money up and take the written test in the fall or early winter.Anyway, just wanted to know you're not alone! P.S. I'm taking a class at my Alma Mater in the Fall called "Deaf Blind Interpreting" which will go towards my QA units for next year. JenDonna M-P wrote: Congrats, Darcy! However, I have no idea what he's talking about on a couple of his statements.. in that I didn't use the answer sheet correctly? HUH?? I put my answers in like I was instructed? Oh well, who knows. Also in saying some of my answers were smudged and he couldn't read them in the workbook confuses me too, I re-did it and thought I did it as neat as could be. ...LOL.. And in remarking on my research paper saying it was great. Oh my. I struggled with that thing something fierce. I really thought I would fail that part of the test. Weird. Anyway, one down, one to go! Now, I have to pass my fitness trainer one (that I have not been studying at all on)..grr...Darcy May 12, 2008 Dear Darcy S.
