Guest guest
hey! i finally did a video workout today that is worth posting about. dont get me wrong... i have been doing some exercise -- the usual 60 min walk each day, and using gilad's 'express workouts' dvds a couple of times a week. but today i finally said 'to he!! with it' and allowed myself to have the whole morning to exercise and then to relax. so, first the hour of walking -- what a beautiful morning! i was overdressed :/ but id rather be sweating than shivering. i put some new tunes on my zen stone, and that always makes me excited about getting out and walking. the walk today was fun and a prime example of why of do it so much. next was gilad's express workouts... however instead of just doing one 10 min (or less) segment, i did four!! core, compound strength, isometrics and balancing, kickboxing was done, and i rather enjoyed the workout i think that i will do one more rotation through the workouts on these dvds and finally move onto something else. next was a segment of 'namaste yoga', a beautiful canadian tv production shot in high definition. if you have never seen 'namaste', then you must! it is quite a visual treat... very high production values. besides canadian tv, it shows on fit-tv in the usa. also, there are some various dvd packages available retail and at www.namaste.tv the yoga itself is hatha vinyasa... a pleasant flowing practice. today's segment was 'exhalted warrior' which was done standing. this segment started with an active warmup which flowed very quickly, and i was worried that the whole practice was going to be hard to follow. but the next 12 min warrior sequence was wonderful... not at all hard to follow and i liked the flow of it (moving between various warrior and triangle poses). the voice-over (done by instructor kate potter) was well done, although a bit late at times which is always my complaint about voice-overs. then there were some laying cooldown stretches performed and a short corpse pose. the whole thing was 25 mins long, at the experienced beginner/intermediate level (NOT for absolute yoga newbies), and well worth doing. im going to try hard to add namaste to my walking and gilad workouts. it would be heaven it if i could come up with 2 hours every day to do these workouts. :*carolyn. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, I've missed you! Your walk and workout today sounded great. Are there days when you have more time? Maybe a few days a week you can do all of this! Take care, Donna

Guest guest
Carolyn, I've just recently discovered Namaste, thanks to my wonderful little public library. I have, indeed, done this workout! I thought the same thing - oh, my, too fast! But it's a great workout, the way it gradually builds on itself. Lovely production, too. Sounds like you had a good week of workouts. Good job. -----Original Message----- From: exercisevideos next was a segment of 'namaste yoga', a beautiful canadian tv production shot in high definition. if you have never seen 'namaste', then you must! it is quite a visual treat... very high production values. besides canadian tv, it shows on fit-tv in the usa. also, there are some various dvd packages available retail and at www.namaste.tv the yoga itself is hatha vinyasa... a pleasant flowing practice. today's segment was 'exhalted warrior' which was done standing.
