Hi Sally,

For us when we saw Krigsman we were prescribed both Penatsa and Zelnorm. The former for Infalmmation and the latter for Motility. Zelnorm, as you know was withdrawn in the USA at the end of March. I was never convinced it did much for Becks so also withdrwew it. Lets face it I am in enough shit with the NHS so thot this would be a good Brownie point, toeing the party line and all that, well almost!!

Anyway, since stopping the Zelnorm has gradually started posturing more and is definitely not the best. Weird cos her stools are better on only Pentasa but I reckon maybe the Zelnorm, altho not producing such good stools was deffo pushing things along better.

We are soon going to see another Uk gastro, in the hope that her diagnosis may be altered and then the Penatsa will be prescribed here.

Lifes never easy is it?? Just to keep yopu in the loop. Hugs to Edith.

Caroline

Hi Caroline, I had you in mind when I posted it. It was the anaesthetic effect on the peristalsis of the gut that made me think of . It brought together several ideas and seemed to make sense. For me too, it made SCD seem more attractive though no less difficultxx Sally
