Guest guest
I like the premixes in MM. I think there's one call "push pull" I did that one a while back. No matter what premix you do you know you worked. I also like doing the lower body only. Just that alone is a nice leg workout. ~~Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Guest guest
Nice job Donna and congrats to you on seeing great progress with your strength! :)Both of your workouts you are thinking about tomorrow will be great calorie burns!!Darcy Hi Everyone, Today was the " timesaver " option on Muscle Max - the timesaver option is 56 minutes, so it is sort of a misnomer to call it " Timesaver " - but, I guess it is shorter than the 70 minute full version of the workout. To shorten the time, Cathe leaves out the second set of some of the exercises - I did pretty well with this workout - I matched Cathe's weights at times, at times I was lighter. I will be needing a new barbell at some point as I maxed mine out today (I have a beginner barbell - only goes up to 38 lbs - that includes the weight of the bar). I'll need to get a " big girl " barbell as well as some heavier weights soon (25's are next!) I'm enjoying the heavier lifting and I see a big increase in my strength - especically the strength in my hands - I noticed when I first started this rotation my hands were really bothering me from holding the weights, but now it is not an issue at all. YAY! Tomorrow is some form of cardio - cardio has not been my favorite lately - so it will be a challenge. My contenders are Cathe's Low Max (I haven't done that, or any step workout in a long time!) or Amy's Hi/Lo Dome Challenge (likely doing a pre-mix). Take care everyone! Guest guest
Thanks, Darcy! I need some good calorie burns - the Memorial Day Weekend didn't do much for healthy eating and my DH is off this week, so he is grilling goodies for dinner (it doesn't help that I have junk food left over from the weekend and various events at my daughter's school..>GRR!) Oh well, I"ll just focus on doing the best I can with both eating and exercising. Guest guest
Thanks, Jen! Although I think Darcy and can beat me up! I'm really enjoying heavier lifting, it actually feels less like torture than doing lots of reps w/ lighter weights! How are you doing? Did you come up w/ a plan for the summer? Will you have more free time for exercise during the summer since school is out?Donna Hi Everyone, Today was the "timesaver" option on Muscle Max - the timesaver option is 56 minutes, so it is sort of a misnomer to call it "Timesaver" - but, I guess it is shorter than the 70 minute full version of the workout. Guest guest
Thanks, ! I think I have very wimpy hands - I'm pretty small boned - and my grip strength is not good, but it has gotten better by doing all these heavier workouts! Guest guest
I need to keep this in mind. Arthritis has made my hand strength pretty wimpy too but when it is not flaring I can do whatever I want, including lifting heavier weights so, my thinking is that perhaps the workouts I do will lead to stronger hands and possibly less pain... at least I'd be able to open jars more easily anyway!
