Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I was *supposed* to do Muscle Endurance today, but I got to bed too late (still working with the kitchen - it is done and looks great, except for one cabinet door that didn't fit propery and they have to replace, but last night was spent putting it all back together) YAY! We also have to touch up all the paint/trim now. It seems like once you start improving one thing you find 10 more things that need to be done. Anyway, I was too short on time for ME, (plus I didn't want to have to drag out all that much equipment out) so I did Kathy 's Matrix Sculpt workout - which is a functional fitness/circuit type routine. The main body is 30 minutes, then there is a 10 minute core section and a 10 minute stretch. There is also a 12 minute " bonus " workout that shows more advanced modifications (the workout is plenty tough at its " regular " level). I really like this one - my HR stays up for the entire workout and I feel like I get a good blend of cardio and functional strength in. The functional elements arise from balance challenges, working through different planes of motion (the " matrix " basically think of the face of a clock and move to 12 o'clock, 2 and 10 o'clock, 3 and 9 o'clock, etc.) and doing compound exercises. All in all, a great little routine and my lower body is almost always sore from this one even though I use light weights - 3's and 5's mostly. This one is now available at Ross for $4.99. I believe that the powers that be in the video world changed the name and packaging of this workout so the " older " versions are showing up at Ross. I do wish that Kathy would come out with a sequal that is more advanced (along the lines of the bonus workout on this DVD). I did the bonus once, and it is pretty hard. The core work and stretch are pretty good on this one as well. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!
