Guest guest
How tall are you? And do you know your percentage of body fat? And are you tracking your measurements or taking pictures? Scale weight is one of the least effective ways to judge your progress. All kinds of impressive changes can take place without the scale doing much of anything. If you're struggling with the food, you could always post a day or two of what/how much you eat and where you feel like you're having problems. > > Man, I'm feeling discouraged and just wanted to reach out to those who > might understand. Guest guest
Thanks for responding. I didn't expect it and I'm so appreciative. I'm so sad right now I could cry--I am crying. I'm 5'3.5 " I have not taken pics yet, I will do that tonight so that I can truly have a way to measure progress. Nor have I taken my measurements. I just didn't want additional information to confirm the way I feel (fat). However, I see my thinking is counterproductive. I will give myself the remainder of the week to get the food thing together and if I just can't get it together, I'll post for advice. Sincerely, Re: Feeling fat today How tall are you? Guest guest
Ok, and while you're pulling yourself together, consider the fact that this is what 5'3.5 " 135 pounds can look like: http://www.jmpmanagement.com/ams/index.htm It's not about scale weight. It's really not! :-) > > Thanks for responding. I didn't expect it and I'm so appreciative. I'm > so sad right now I could cry--I am crying. Guest guest
Sometimes when I feel that way it is hormones. A good thing for me to do is go run (or other cardio that gets the heart rate up). I don't always feel like running, but I feel TONS better when I'm done. Keeps perspective. Good luck! Tammy Brown wrote: Thanks for responding. I didn't expect it and I'm so appreciative. Guest guest
Sometimes I get discouraged too. Right now I'm having my period and I feel all fat. But I know if I do what I'm supposed to, I'll lose fat. Periods and bloating don't change that. I am indulging tonight in carob cake, 8 grams of protein and 146 calories per piece, half cup honey in the 8x8 pan for sweetener, chocolate glaze on top. I know it's not the greatest thing to eat, but I'm going to go nuts if I don't eat something GOOD. As long as I eat clean the rest of the time (and I haven't had a free day since Wednesday), it's ok to eat something that makes you felt like you indulged. That is, as long are you're eating clean the rest of the time! As for the weight , I wouldn't worry about it. I weight more than I did when I started.
