Guest guest
Wow! What a great workout after a slow start, Darcy! Interesting to read about the slanted risers workout too. I'm thinking about trying some from that disc next week. I love my HRM! I forgot to put it on today and was bummed but did my workout anyway without it. I've gotten into the habit of laying it out with my workout clothes and since we were going to the Memorial Day parade first, I didn't want to wear it but should have, then I wouldn't have forgotten to put it on. Oh well. Sunday's workout oAfter another "slow" morning.. I finally pushed play. I just didn't have much energy and since I knew time wasn't a huge factor (dh was here to tend to the boys if they wke up), I was dragging my feet. Finally at 6:00 I pushed play and did GS Back, Shoulders, and Biceps. I must say, I really like this workout. It gives me a great burn all in the right places. After a long break (came upstairs and visited with my family for awhile), I went back down and did the cardio workout off of the slanted risers workout. I must say, although it got very repetitious, I did enjoy it. Rob Glick was the instructor. I jazzed it up and modified a lot as it's surely an easier workout without modifying. Afterwards, I wasn't quite ready to cool-down (it's just a short 30 minutes), so I did some plyos and speed drills. I actually put my heart rate monitor on and plan on wearing it from here on out. I haven't wore it since before I was pregnant with Kaysar... I'm not sure why, I just didn't bother with it. So after all of my jumping around and modifiying the workout, I burned 299 calories :)Done for the day!Darcy
