Airplane Food

Like lots of us, I have a cross-country flight coming up. Jetblue

doesn't pretend to serve actual meals, but they hand out snacks --

cookies and chips -- not stuff I want to fill up on especially on a

day I can't exercise. Has anyone had experience packing your own food

on an airplane? I don't want to go to a lot of trouble packing

several meals only to have them thrown out at the security check!

My planned food:

hard-boiled eggs, apple

chicken salad (with plastic fork), tangerine

homemade banana-peanut butter protein bar

Any thoughts?
