Guest guest
I LOVE Kries. Love her. My only gripe is that sometimes I get lost in her instructions and have to look at the screen to see what she's doing, which then gets me out of whack with the moves. But JK has been and always will be a standby for me. I also love her Pilates cardio routine. What a great workout as well. Glad to see someone else shares my enthusiasm for her. -Terri- Wed - JKries New Method Precision PilatesTo: exercisevideos , fitnbusy moms , FitFirmies > Hi Everyone,> > I think I'm finally hitting my stride in this rest/recovery > week! Guest guest
Good for you on enjoying your workout Donna!!Darcy Hi Everyone, I think I'm finally hitting my stride in this rest/recovery week! This morning I did an oldie (well, from probably 2000 or so) Kries' New Method Precision Pilates. This one contains 3 segments - upper body countouring, lower body contouring, and flow and flexibility. Each segment is around 20 minutes and combines Pilates and Yoga. The upper body section starts with a dance based warm-up (very fluid and circular) then moves on to Pilates for the upper body - using light weights - the classical standing series for Pilates upper body sculpting. Then it is on to a bit of yoga for the upper body and then some seated Pilates exercises (rowing) The lower body starts with yoga (basic poses - sun salutations, lunges, warriors, etc.) then moves on to the Pilates side series. The flow and flexibility section is a blend of dance-based, yoga and Pilates type stretching. Very fluid. I really enjoyed my workout this morning and feel loosened up. I may just do the remaining two in this " New Method " series for the rest of the week. It has been a long time since I pulled them out so it is nice to re-discover them. The two remaining ar 3-Dimensional Toning (a fluid dance/Pilates section followed by Pilates mat work) and Perfect Mix - I don't recall 100% what is in this one - I think a mat work sequence, a weighted sequence and maybe some yoga..... Oh, Kries does a good job of teaching this one - she is a " serious " instructor, but I enjoy her straightforward approach. Take care! Guest guest
H Teri, Glad to have another Kries fan around! I have almost all of her older stuff and some new stuff - her two Hot Body/Cool Mind DVDs. They are pretty good. I know she has some new Pilates, Ballet and Yoga but I've been avoiding temptation. I think the Pilates and Ballet is more beginner level. The yoga sounds interesting though - it is Yin Yoga (holding postures for a long time!) she has a segment on her Hot Body/Cool Mind DVD and I enjoy it. Take care! Guest guest
I have only three of hers, and I'd love to get more. But I have to pace myself. I'd end up with a gazillion workout dvds and not enough time to do them all! LOL Then again, maybe that won't be so bad. I'd have a lot to choose from, right? Anyway, thanks for the info on her other dvds. Maybe I'll put in for them for a birthday gift. -Terri- H Teri, Glad to have another Kries fan around! Guest guest
Thanks, Kassia! Signing up for Netflix has been on my list for awhile. I may just do that now! It would definately save me money and help me to sort out what I really need in my collection! Guest guest
Definitely! Everyone should be blessed with so many exercise videos that they can't do them all in a year! LOL Seriously, though, I started collecting them 12 or 13 years ago when I was just taping stuff from ESPN. That's why I have so many.
