Sara,

I don't know if I can be of any help - as it doesn't sound like you are talking about a nursery? has his tutors go in with him and he has been offered a place full time in the fall in this nursery. The head works in the one that he attends and she has quite a lot of experience with ABA tutors being in their school. (Including having one work for her and do ABA part time!) Her experience has been positive and she has really enjoyed 's tutors and having them in the class. She's been doing this for 25 years so she's quite knowledgeable.

I'd be happy to ask her to speak to the one that you know, but then, I don't know if it's the same situation.

All the best,

hugs,

Darla (miss our phone chats, I've been so busy lately.)

Hello people.

I found a school for Tom a while back that said they’d be happy to have his VB therapists in class with him. Now they don’t sound so sure (but haven’t said ‘no’). He’s going to start in January. I‘ve arranged a meeting with them but want to make sure I say the right thing. Is there anyone out there with any experience that could give me advice? Or even better, is there a head/ SENCO/ classroom teacher that wouldn’t mind being contacted by Tom’s new head/ SENCO/ teacher to chat about what it’s actually like?

Thanks,

Sara

Hi

Darla and thanks,

No,

Tom’s already at pre-school and has been for a year and a half and they are all

great about it. I’m talking about REAL school. They don’t have a clue what VB

is or ABA so they’re understandably nervous. I just

don’t want to blow it when I explain it all to them. I’ll put a message on the ABA list.

Thanks

though Darla,

Sara
