Guest guest
Doing research on the perfumery during the Georgian court era, I came to learn about the existence of a British perfumer who wrote an interesting introduction to perfumery, pre-Piesse Septimus book. Although the perfumer died in 1746, the book was later published in 1822. You can download it from Google books http://tinyurl.com/yhknp8b From the information I have, it seems that his account was far from perfect but it does however give a good overview of the ingredients that were used from 'nosegay' gardens in this rather difficult and dark time for perfumery in England. Enjoy it! Isabelle
