Guest guest
Hello Again! I so much appreciate everyone's post...so when I have a moment, I try, and hopefully give something back to someone. Someone mentioned about how our mind can convince us of certain things. Well, I find that so true! It's funny because I was on crutches, crawling up and down stairs, to show property, but I never thought of myself disabled. One day a man said, " Oh, you are the disabled Realtor, I heard about " I must of looked at him very strangely...because in my mind I was not one bit disabled. I was doing as well, or better than a lot of the Realtor's, so I wasn't sure how he could think that. When I went to the office and told my Broker, and asked him if he thought I was disabled...he started laughing so hard he fell backwards in his chair! He said, " the only time you would be disabled, Kay, is if you drank to much. We both had a good laugh on that since I never drank more than a drink or two a year. Well, I owe a lot of my mind conditioning to my parents, brother and sister. They are all optimistic people. My brother, who is also on this forum, was one of my many mentor's. Many years ago, after a very hard year...he said to me " Mares, you can either look at, and see the white horse, or, you can see the black one. Your choice. " Wow, did that stick with me! At first I had to make a conscious choice to see the white horse....after awhile it became a habit! Thanks Little Brother! And thanks to all of you! Hey...those of you that are reading the forum, but not communicating...please do. we all learn from one another, and we need you too!
