Guest guest
Okay - so I over did it... Monday I was out with the flu (what an annoying way to ring in the new year let me tell ya!!). So, that means I didnt get to the gym (and my meals were WAY off due to misses). So yesterday I get to the gym where I'm going to work out with my aunt. She's brought my two cousins along (at 13(m) & 15(f)). Well. Normally on tuesdays I dont hit the gym in the mornings, but since I missed monday I thought what the heck. Figured I'd go light. Well, with the two kids there, and us having such a good time, I did NOT go light. Then, by my Body Pump class, which is always my weights on tuesday nights, I was dying. I had to stop and " shake it out " mid-set on several instances. I finished the class (plus a few other exercises on muscle groups I'd missed), and was just exhausted. Okay - so I definetely over did it. Not exactly an " accident " I want to complain too much about, but still more than I should have done. That was Tuesday. Today I was hurting pretty badly and did a light cardio day, trying to give my body time to heal. (I'm also fairly exhausted.) Now I'm one of these people that I hurt worse the second and sometimes the third day as compared to the first day of muscle soreness. Meaning, odds are, even with all the glutamine I'm taking, I'm gonna be REAL sore in the morning. Tomorrow should be my weights day again. I've heard mixed reviews of whether or not one should train sore muscles. Now I have a few muscle groups that probably will have forgiven me by morning (calves, forarms, low back), but many may not. So - do I do all the weights I should tomorrow, ignoring the soreness? Do I work only the muscles that arent sore? Do I do another cardio day? or... (hehe) do I sleep in and take the day off!
