Oh Kimmy, I'm severly lactose intolerant. Lactaid is my best friend :)

I still eat cottage cheese, and lowfat cheese, and all that, but I have to

take a lactase supplement with it. If thats the problem, I could see Whey

giving you problems, since its made from milk. Also, if you look at the

back of soy protien, sometimes it will say " Contains Milk products " .

Actually, most products will say if they contain dairy and/or nuts since

both are common allergies. I don't have any problem with soy-based

products (that don't contain any lactose, such as Silk brand soy yogurt)

though, so it may not be the same thing.

Kind of embarrasing, but I had terrible gas, and didn't know what it was

from. Thought it might be artificial sugars, but through a process of

elimination I figured it out. Turns out I developed lactose intolerance,

which as I understand it, a lot of people do as they age.
