Guest guest
Oh Kimmy, I'm severly lactose intolerant. Lactaid is my best friend I still eat cottage cheese, and lowfat cheese, and all that, but I have to take a lactase supplement with it. If thats the problem, I could see Whey giving you problems, since its made from milk. Also, if you look at the back of soy protien, sometimes it will say " Contains Milk products " . Actually, most products will say if they contain dairy and/or nuts since both are common allergies. I don't have any problem with soy-based products (that don't contain any lactose, such as Silk brand soy yogurt) though, so it may not be the same thing. Kind of embarrasing, but I had terrible gas, and didn't know what it was from. Thought it might be artificial sugars, but through a process of elimination I figured it out. Turns out I developed lactose intolerance, which as I understand it, a lot of people do as they age.
