In 1980 I got my first AFO for one leg, about 8 years later I got my second one. Until 3 months ago I went through so much grief with the AFO's. They did help as far as the, foot drop, but always keep me out of alignment...which is so hard on our bodies. I really feel if I would of had the Helios braces in the beginning (because they not only stabilize, but align the body) I wouldn't of got so weak, legs atrophying, hyper-extending, ankles rolling, and all the pain that goes along with wasting muscles. I highly recommend anyone needing support to check out Ortho Rehab in Las Vegas. I wish someone would of told me years ago, about them.
