Totally normal. The shoulder is a fussy and complicated little joint

that's easily injured. It can't handle much weight at that particular angle.

I can shoulder press 30+ pounds overhead but I use 8-12 pounds for lateral

raises. Any more than that and I'd be off to the orthopedic surgeon... who

I'm really trying to see LESS of these days! LOL
