Very interestesting answer that actually gets me to ask more questions if I may!

1) What constitutes " skin sensitization " ? Are we talking of a person who might

possibly have a little redness after trying out a perfume or are we talking

about an allergic reaction that is life threatening? How does one have a valid

case that it is the perfume that was applied that caused an allergic reaction as

opposed to the laundry detergent or the season pollen or a new angora sweater!?

2) How do you ensure some protection from legal action? Only by having a list

of components and mention that they might possibly provoke an allergic reaction?

By listing the 26 devilish allergens? By always strictly complying to IFRA's

guidelines? This actually makes me wonder how some internationally distributed

perfumes have made it: I am thinking of Vetiver Extraordinaire which boasts 27%

of vetiver (I m sure Ifra's requirements are below that) or some JP Gaultier or

Jovan fragrances that are incredibly musky.

Looking forward to reading your take on these!

Marc
