Guest guest
Hi all My son is 7 and been scd for 7 months with amazing results, we've just had our first visit with Muscroft and consequently I've removed the scd goats yogurt from my sons diet to see what happens. J does seem to be talking more and his night sweats have gone so I'm keeping him off the goats yogurt, I wanted to replace it with nut yogurt but can't find a starter over here and it's $40 to get the right one shipped from USA. I know some of you make coconut kefir and I'd like to give it a go, I know Elaine Gottschall wasn't a fan of kefir but I keep hearing about how great it is. I'd be very grateful if someone could advise me on this, am I just as well giving probiotics? Does kefir taste nice and is it easy? many thanks Toni
Guest guest
Kefir tastes fine and is very easy. I mix it with very ripe bananas and its delicious. Guest guest
> > > hi Nina where do I start? Last year I was told by his teacher that he may as well not go to school as he couldn't learn and was completely oblivious to his environment, he could hardly read or write and could not do even simple maths, at break time he would wander round the edge of the playground on his toes waving his fingers in front of his eyes. He only knew the names of 2 kids in his class and only spoke to the teachers (sometimes). At home he was a bit better with talking and used toys to wave in front of his eyes. He's now only slightly behind in numeracy and is at age level for reading/writing. He pays attention in class now and joins in by putting hand up and asking and answering questions. The most amazing and pleasing improvements are in his social skills, he has two best friends and can't wait to get in the playground to play with them and I mean proper pretend play. He can join in group conversations now and pretty much follow what's being said. 3 months ago the head called me into the office and I thought what now? She said " the teachers can't stop talking about how your son has changed and whatever it is you're doing with him it's working, he's not the same child " . We still have a way to go, his expressive language is still way behind, he's quite clumsy and can go on and on about spiderman but we're getting there and he's ^with us^ if you know what I mean. I'm confident the rest will follow with Jeans help as I've only used scd, enzymes, cod liver oil and fish oils so far. thanks Toni

Guest guest
Hi Toni, What amaazing results! So good to hear :-)! We use both kefir (raw milk) and goat yoghurt which seem to suit Eddie really well. He doesn't tolerate coconut and we've yet to other try alternatives - but for what we've read and experienced kefir is very good (digestible and lots of good bacteria). Best wishes, Sandy > > > > > hi Nina > where do I start? > Last year I was told by his teacher that he may as well not go to > school as he couldn't learn and was completely oblivious to his > environment, he could hardly read or write and could not do even > simple maths, at break time he would wander round the edge of the > playground on his toes waving his fingers in front of his eyes. Guest guest
Hi Toni that's fantastic progress - well done. Did you tell the teacher about biomed? The head mistress at Charlie's school is very open minded and read " Evidence of Harm " and what with that and Charlie's progress she's on our side. I think it is ignorant of the teacher to say he might as well not be there because they learn even when it doesn't seem so (as they get better) and often comes out later. But of course so many people don't have a clue about autism and it's origins! This is s 1st year in the juniors and the teacher that said he may as well not be there was at the infants last year where it's just an infant school with no juniors so we've not seen her recently. It's one of my daydreams to take back fully recovered one day to see that teacher as she was very rude and impatient towards him. You are very lucky to have a supportive head mistress, s head and teacher now are quite helpful but don't go out of their way to understand exactly how our children function. I suppose they're satisfied with just seeing the changes. best wishes
