This was a recipe posted several years back by H, a bfl

finalist. You have to play with it a bit; depending on your

ingredients and microwave, it can turn out too runny, too solid or perfect.

make each muffin in a 2-cup pyrex measuring cup.

2 minutes in the microwave (sometimes a bit more, depending on the

flavoring/fruit)

Original recipe

4.5 Tbsp protein powder

4.5 Tbsp oats (whole or ground; I use whole)

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/3 to 1/2 cup water (depending on fruit used)

Splenda (I use 1-2 Tbsp of powder, depending on how sweet I want)

Flavorings:

cocoa (unsweetened baking cocoa)

vanilla

cinnamon

almond extract

Add-Ins:

shredded carrot

apple

strawberries

blueberries

chopped nuts

My Alterations:

- I used 1/3 cup egg white instead of water; the egg 'cooks' and sets

- I use less protein powder (since I'm using the egg whites)

Enjoy -

Oh man, I was going to post this last night, and n reminded me :)

I had the most delicious shake last night. If you've not used frozen

bananas in a shake before, its fantastic. This made 2 servings, and I drank

it post-work out.

1 c. skim milk

2 tbsp honey

2 scoops vanilla protein powder (not meal replacement...the kind that is low

in carbs)

Blend all that up together then add:

10 frozen strawberries, 5 at a time, blending til smooth

1 frozen banana cut up into 1-inch pieces, a 2-3 pieces at a time, blending

until smooth.

It was SO GOOD. Tasted like strawberry ice cream. Its important to make

sure the banana is really frozen hard, at least 24hours, because it will

turn to soup if the banana isn't frozen enough!
