Guest guest
On the housekeeping thing: I did really well until I started working and working out. Now, if I have just enough time to workout OR clean... guess which one gets done! Ugh. I love Flylady (www.flylady.net) and I'm really struggling with putting it together. I know I can, but part of me needs to just shut off this computer and I'd probably do a lot better! :-) Would you say Project You is a more beginner program? I really like Kathy but I'd rather put money into programs I can grow with than grow out of quickly. You are very enabling you know that ? Just when I had a great reason not to buy P90 Masters anytime soon you come up with a reason for why I need to get it NOW. That is a wonderful idea for putting one workout from it per week into my rotations! Too bad I just got back from the eye doctor and, in order to do my needlework (counted cross stitch) that I love and hardly make time for anymore (I tried to a couple of weeks ago and couldn't see the holes in the fabric) I need bifocals. If I didn't want to do cross stitch I could keep my same prescription probably. Nearly $900 later (I am not kidding) they'll be here in about 2 weeks. OUCH!! We got a letter from our insurance company about possible vision discounts (we don't have vision insurance of course, we do have a flexible benefits spending account that is almost empty and will be completely empty after I get reimbursed for at least part of my glasses) and I'm bringing that over there in a little while because I forgot to bring it with me. If it applies, it will help a little (they'll reimburse me the difference) but I'm not expecting it will. Sigh. The good thing is that since he's putting me into bifocals earlier than is really necessary for all my daily activities outside of stitching he said it is unlikely I'll need a new prescription for at least a few years. I figure our glasses usually run about $400 so this is two years worth of glasses for me that I'll be able to stretch out at least 1-3 years longer than that so it works out to be a good investment. I'm trying to make myself feel better here... can you tell it isn't working?! :-) I wanted to go running today (it is gorgeous) but the doc dilated my eyes so OUCH whenever I go outside. Gotta update my checking account now anyway so that I know how hard this hit and then figure out when (if) I can get P90 Masters (after the reimbursement check comes from the flexible benefits account at the earliest though I'm sure). Darrcy /cleaning/ Project You and me as a trainer/ P90 Masters Gawd I don't know how, as a mother of 3, that you can keep anything clean, as I as a single person can't even keep up with it! As you said, in about 3 weeks it just reverts back to the rat's nest it was before. I have 3 jobs and work all 7 days a week and do NOT have time to be Suzie Housekeeper. So my friend Hillary has sore arms today from Project You: Upper Body & Abs. I've decided to keep her on a Project You rotation for a couple of months, so that at the end of that time period we will have done all the workouts a few times each. I want do to a cardio workout and a strength workout each time we meet. The Pilates and Yoga tapes will count as one strength workout because they are shorter. I'm going to burn her a copy of the cd so she can do the walking routine with Kathy on her own time. I've never really been placed in this position of personal trainer before, and I'm enjoying it in this informal capacity. Kathy and her background exercisers in this series are mildly annoying, but the workouts themselves are really very good and as a program/rotation it is varied and fun. I'm sure I'll be sore later on from the upper body workout, as I used pretty heavy weights for most of it. On my non Project You days, which would be 2-3 days a week, I'd like to finish up the Quick Fix virgin dvd's I have and move on to Tracey Mallett. , I totally "get" not wanting to commit to a long rotation such as P90 Masters. I do better with theme weeks myself, but what you can always do is do your theme week, then just do 1 workout from the Masters series each week just so that you can experience it and now what to expect for when you decide to commit for real. --- In exercisevideos , "Darcy Ledman" > Fantastic ! I also hear you on the "tidying" up bit. I went through> my "junk" spot in my kitchen the other day, and it feels / looks so much> better in there. I just wish it would stay
