Guest guest
I have been away for the past 2 weeks but I took measurements at 3.5 weeks and I had lost a total of 7.5 inches! I have lost more but I am going to wait till the end of this week, so I can get rid of period bloat and all that before I measure again. Last week wasn't great I was traveling and couldn't workout, my eating was half clean . So Today marks the beginning of my 6th week. I do see changes in the mirror, like I am just overall smaller, my butt seems higher, and my pants are baggy in the butt and waist, my belly is smaller and droopier I look worse without clothes, the fat is squishy and hangy it looks like half melted jello :'( Does anyone know when the squishyness stops?? and you get to the firmer fat? Guest guest
I find that it comes and goes, I am half way through week 7 and in the first 2 weeks I dropped about 7lb, then it steadied and has been fluctuating up and down within a couple of pounds but my clothes fit better some are now too big. I found around week 2/3 I felt squishy then it firmed up a little in week 4/5 then went squishy again in 6 and is still a bit like that now. But looking at other peoples posts and pictures week 8/9 are the magic weeks so I am counting the days to when it all firms and better muscle tone shows through, hang in there it will pay off. Didn't know if this was a typical reaction during this regime, makes sense I suppose as the fat melts the skin takes time to firm up? (don't know if that's exactly what happens but makes sense to me). Does anyone else experience this? Gemma Week 3.5 results....... Guest guest
Squishy is good. It means all that plump, firm, stubborn fat is breaking up and going away - literally melting. Early on, the fat is leaving faster than your skin elasticity can keep up. If you keep drinking your water, eating enough healthy fat, and staying moisturized, things will tighten back up. And if you keep lifting heavy and building nice muscles, especially leg muscles, they'll do a surprisingly effective job of pulling the flab tight. And if you use one of those great daily moisturizers with a hint of sunless tanner (Jergens, Dove, Olay, Aveeno, etc), they warm up and even out skin tone, which tends to camouflage things like dimples, spider veins and stretch marks. Here's the Hussman quote explaining the Jello phenomenon: If you've been sedentary for a long time, your fat probably hasn't seen an ounce of circulation since high school. This causes your fat to turn thick and hard, or " blubbery " (yes, Scrabble fans, that is a word). Marine animals have this sort of fat deposit, called a " blubber lay " . When you start working out consistently, some of you may find that your fat or cellulite becomes more like Jell-O initially. In whales (forgive me - this is not personal), increased activity also forces a change in circulation strategy so that there is increased blood flow near the body's surface. I suspect that this occurs in humans as well, so you may be a little " pink " for even hours after a good workout. http://www.hussmanfitness.org/html/TSInsideOut.html > > I have been away for the past 2 weeks but I took measurements at 3.5 > weeks and I had lost a total of 7.5 inches! Guest guest
Wow, that's good to know. I thought I was imaging that my tummy looked more wobbly. Skwigg wrote: Squishy is good.
