I have been going through the archives for many hours now ready about Alcohol,

filtering a finished product, and pre-fixing your alcohol but the majority of

these posts are from the early 2000's so I want to ask a few questions in on

these matters as I'm sure many things have changed in the last 5 to 10 years.

1. ALCOHOL - I've read of some perfumers adding certain EO's to the alcohol to

make it softer and aging the alcohol before using it but I am currently using

Un-denatured Organic Grape Alcohol from Alchemical Solutions in California. Do

I need to think about aging alcohol or preparing it for use in perfume?

2. FILTERING - There are a lot of things I've read about filtering you finished

product and it's starting to get confusing. I've read of adding fuller's earth

and than putting it in the fridge to have all of the waxes, etc stick and float

to the bottom, than filter. I've read about filtering than cooling in the

fridge. What is a good general practice?

3. PRE-FIXATION - This I do understand but would like to know if the alcohol

needs to be filtered before blending with EO's?

Much Appreciated.
