Back in the mid-70's I subscribed to the Wall Street Journal.....

My first encounter with them on a personal level was a full page ad in

the WSJ, about their new product, an artificial chocolate....

It would free the World's chocolate producers from the vagaries of the

cacao bean market, forever....

Even my wife, Kath, was incensed at this brazen advert...She didn't thi

about these soume kinda.....

I clipped the full page ad, and taped it to the inside of a kitchen

cabinet, to remind me of who these guys were...<G>...!

, they'd like to provide us with a lot more " benefits " , we can use,

than the seeds....

These are the same folks that have brought us " Astroturf " ....originally

called " Chemgrass " , but renamed after its use in the Houston Astrodome

in the 60's....<G>...

If you've heard of Saccharin, " Roundup " herbicide, genetically

engineered seeds (mentioned above), Agent Orange, Aspartame sweetener,

and bovine growth hormone, BGH, the milk controversy stuff.....

Yup...Monsanto....same folks.....They are also known for being proactive

legally as to laying a groundwork of litigation to pave the way for it's

products....

The Seedy part of Agriculture, if ya would....An 800 pound gorilla that

flexes its muscles, when it thinks it needs <G>...

Good outfit to keep an eye on......
