Guest guest
Sandy, The cef prefix starting antibiotics were very helpful here although I can't tell you how or why they were. Sorry to be so unclear but we had to give an antibiotic several times for strep and I would fret about giving them, but they only made her better, clearer and her language got better. And she kept all the improvements each time the antibiotic was finished and discontinued. Most people said that it was due to ridding her of bacteria in her gut but she never tested as having any bacteria. I did read where the cephlosporin, I believe was helpful to the immune system and that is what she took. Not sure if anyof these are helpful as she never had Citrobacter Freundii or any other kind of bacteria. I can't exactly recommend taking an antibiotic but wanted to share our experience. I was amazed at the improvement. Uva ursi alternative for persistent 4+ C. Freundi (LOTS of head sweating) Hi everyone, We are using uva ursi for 2-3 weeks with 2 week breaks. We think (but can't be totally sure) that it is helping fight Eddie's persistent Citrobacter Freundii infection.Basically without uva ursi his head starts to sweat as he sleeps. This can get really bad with lots of pillow turning etc and it's very hard to get his temperature right. After giving uva ursi its improved in 24hrs and almost gone in 48-36hrs! But now it seems to be taking a bit longer to work AND there's the problem that we need to stop using it every 2 weeks. We rotate a few herbs but ONLY uva ursi helps with the head sweating. His last stool tests showed his C. Freundi to be sensitive to uva ursi. I think it is sensitive but not sensitive enough :-)!It's also sensitive to caprylic acid which he has but this seems to have no effect on it. Also oregano - but we weren't successful with this - he hated the taste (or smell).I'd appreciate any ideas on using oregano effectively (is the dried herb as effective as the oil?)Also we've not tried the drugs that it is sensitive to ... Cefpodoxime, cefuroxime, ciprofloxacin or tetracycline. Would anyone recommend these? Thanks for any idea.Best wishes,Sandy
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks! This is really helpful. Wonderful to hear about gains that stay! I'm wondering about cefuroxime - it seems it's good for people who react badly to penicillin which Eddie did - and it seems good for UTIs and Lyme - so I think I just may test it out on me :-) Best wishes, Sandy > > Sandy, > > The cef prefix starting antibiotics were very helpful here although I can't tell you how or why they were. Sandy, I have used oil of oregano with my son. It is too vile to take unless you put it into a capsule. I save my smallest capsules, cut them even smaller, and then put the drops of OoO into them just prior to dosing my son. The capsules are about the size of a tic tac and if I place the capsule on bit of yogurt and tell him not to chew, he can do it. This took quite a bit of training first, mind. We trained with the lauricidin pellets, which are tiny but awful tasting and he learned what " don't chew " meant. Maybe this will help. Guest guest
Hi Anita, Thanks - this is a good idea! And just may be the motivation we need to try capsules again. Guest guest
>HI Sandy.. i have not used colloid silver but ive read that it is a pretty effective method of treating a lot of those bugs.. good luck... Also have no experience in regards to your tests results but it seems really interesting..We will look into getting tests on ourselves at later stage .. > Hi everyone, > > We are using uva ursi for 2-3 weeks with 2 week breaks. Guest guest
I think you're right about colloidal silver. We've been testing it out a bit recently. It was very effective on my mum's ear infection - when antibiotics hadn't worked in the past. Best wishes, Sandy > >HI Sandy.. i have not used colloid silver but ive read that it is a > pretty effective method of treating a lot of those bugs.. good > luck...
