Guest guest
Hi Bobbie, By all means, now is the time you need an attorney. No question about it, because your disability case is going up for a hearing. Contact this organization http://www.nosscr.org/ NOSSCR Lawyer Referral Service http://www.nosscr.org/refer.html For help in finding attorney representation, contact our lawyer referral service during Eastern business hours: 1-800-431-2804 Note: NOSSCR members also include many skilled paralegals who specialize in Social Security claims and appeals. However, due to insurance and state bar rules, our referral service is limited to members in your area who are attorneys at law. NOSSCR: 560 Sylvan Ave, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632 | (800) 431-2804 | Fax: 201-567-1542 Shor, Executive Director | NOSSCR@... An experienced attorney can review your case file with you to figure out why the SSA thinks you can work. Your attorney will walk you through the entire practice, know your case inside and outside, known all about what you are unable to do, and why you are unable to work and get the ALJ to offer a favorable decision. Call Nosscr and get an attorney to meet with soon - you have 60 days to file a Request for Hearing form at the Office of Hearings and Appeals and both you and your attorney need to sign that. Then while waiting for a hearing date with the ALJ, you need to 'educate' your attorney on all aspects of your CMT, your work experience, and anything else pertinent. Stay in touch with your attorney on a regular basis, make notes, especiallyy ones that are pertinent to your inability to work. Email me off list if I can help further. ~ Gretchen
