Guest guest
Hello just a quick silly flax question. I have been advised to add some fiber to my diet and flax was recomended. I wanted to ask if there was any difference between adding X amount of flax meal to my diet or adding X amount of flax seeds ground. Meal is just really ground up seeds isnt it? Do I get more fiber one way or the other? Is one preferred? I think the meal would be easier to eat that the seeds but I am not sure. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi , I don't know if there's a difference between flax meal and ground flax. As for adding more fiber, I have been eating Fiber One cereal in the mornings, along with my eggbeater omelet. It has 14 grams of fiber per 1/2 cup serving! > > Hello just a quick silly flax question. I have been advised to add > some fiber to my diet and flax was recomended. Guest guest
I think flax meal and ground flax seeds are basically the same thing. I use Barlean's Forti-Flax: http://barleans.com/fortiflax.asp I put a tablespoon of it in my breakfast cereal, which includes All-Bran at 13g of fiber per serving. Or I put a tablespoon in my shakes with Myoplex and frozen berries. Or I sprinkle it on salads. Or I sprinkle it on toast with peanut butter, banana, and honey (definitely not recommended for fat loss! :-) > > Hello just a quick silly flax question.
