Guest guest
Hi to all, a question to the learned: after making a perfume, using it up (on me and friends) i want to recycle the bottle, The glass cleaning part i got... (read up on that) the problem i encounter is with the caps. plastic gets the smell stuck to it and will not let go, and i can't boil it cause it'll melt (by the way, as far as sanitizing before bottling i'm a little confused about that too, before bottling a perfume i boil my glass bottles to have them sanitary, and throw in the caps for just a short while, don't like risking the caps geting distorted, and sometimes they do. but i don't know if theres any other way, any thoughts on this would be appreciated as well) so i figure i should replace the inserts that we put in the cap to keep the liquid from driping, you know what i'm talking about? some kind of oiled plasticky paper? or a more solid plastic shaped like a cone so that any liquid will drip back into the bottle i don't know what the material is called, but where can i buy something like that? and what do others do about recycling the caps? all the best, Hemla
