Guest guest
Did someone say that enzymes increase the absorption of vits/medicinesor was it by using enzymes and the gut going through healing, he is nowgetting his P5P better? As I'm wondering if this may be what ishappening with the P5P and he may now not need such a high dose. >>I would try him with less and see what happens. Yes enzymes will help with absorption of supps as well as food If this is likely then I wonder whether these kids may need a lot lessMelatonin when enzymes have been in place. Also has anyone had theirchild experiencing lots of dreaming or nightmares whilst on Melatonin >>I did like crazy when I first tried it. Another mum said she had the same thing happen to her, dosed Inositol for a week weeks and tried again and then no nightmares. I did the same based on her experience and it worked for me too No idea why.......... Mandi x
Guest guest
I have at last started giving Joe melatonin (dont know why I left it so long). We were prescribed 3mg (1 capsule) but told we could go up to 6mg (he is a big 8 year old). I've given one capsule per night for the past three nights and it seems to be working a bit too well, last night he fell asleep with a book in his hand and was in exactly the same position, book and all, when I went into him at 8.30 this morning. He has been lying down all morning and still seems really tired. Obviously I will reduce the amount I give to 1/2 a capsule and see what happens, but I just wondered whether anyone else had experienced this? It's lovely that he is sleeping but I don't want to turn him into a zombie! x
Guest guest
melatonin isn't a long-term solution, as Mandi says, its effectiveness may wane over time.
