Guest guest
Welcome Al, This is such a diverse group so the topics range from seeds, to herbs, to oils, to perfumes, and the how to questions. The sharing of experiments and thoughts is what provides interest. I started Bassett Aromatherapy in 1993 after doing some extensive travelling and thought I had found the love of my life. After I got into it clients who were having me create aromatherapy blends wanted me to create a fragrance for them. So I have been making perfumes behind the scenes since then. This is how businesses develop. I still import some oils and sell them on my website but now np has taken over. I love to operate from the artistic, creation side now with np and still offer therapeutic benefits. The best of both worlds. Making custom perfumes is my favorite thing besides teaching np workshops. In my mind most of the how to questions have many different answers. I am not a fan of dilution in alcohol. I prefer to use most things as whole bits. I do tincture, and macerate and use fresh gardenias, roses, etc from my garden. The joys of living in Southern California. We have had discussions on tincturing spices, and dried fruit, and all sorts of things. If you check out the archives you will be amazed. I find myself in lurk mode often and contribute here and there.
