Guest guest
is do you have trouble actually getting to sleep - and that means you have troubles in the morning? Disturbed sleep can be yeast, phenols and or low Magnesium in my experience with me and son. Lactoferrin has helped me with quality of sleep though I am not sure I understand why - I started it on the recommnedation of another mum I admire who said it helped her Mandi x
Guest guest
is if you think you are an alcoholic you should seek medical help and stop drinking. It seems less surprising that you find it hard to wake up in the morning Sally is wrote: > > Hello > > I have been gf/cf for over a year now and i wish to try LDN. Guest guest
is, LDN (low dose naltrexone - transdermal) works as immunomodulator, so I guess it won´t help neither for sleep nor alcohol issues. Naltrexone oral in normal dose is used to help with adictions, but I think not to alcohol but to hard opiate drugs. Tryptophane depletion is sometimes asociated to both compulsive behaviors and sleeping issues, you may search also this path, and remember that it´s B6 (and other stuff) dependant. I mention this because most people have enough tryptophane in his diet and B6 is often too low in ASD. To balance neurotransmiters and nutrition -I think- is not something one could do by himself, I think you need proper testing and pro guidance. Take care > > Hello > > I have been gf/cf for over a year now and i wish to try LDN. My speculative guess is that LDN may make you more sensitive to the effects of alcohol. Only a guess! Natasa
Guest guest
Are you the same person who runs Mandimart? >>>yes thats me We started last year so I could work from home and spend more time on the TA charity. Most everything we sell is cheaper than you can get it elsewhere, some of it £6-7 per item cheaper. We keep stuff thats hard to get elsewhere aslo. We also provide the service we would like to receive so turn around orders the same day if received by 12.00noon and send everything first class (Royal mail lets us down sometimes but I thik we have all expeienced that!). We also donate 10% of profits (which wern't much this year) to the Treating Autism charity where I am a trustee. We found it the most difficult one to introduce for Sam (we just waded in with the others as it was before guidelines) but once he was settled out he did great. No Fenol will also reduce the amount of stool matter on the bowel so can seem as if yuo are a consitpated in terms of not seeing so much poop for a few days too. Its a good thing because it means there is less waste sitting around in the bowel for the bugs to feed on. > Lactoferrin has helped me with quality of sleep though I am not sure I understand why - I started it on the recommnedation of another mum I admire who said it helped her* I cant take that as it comes from milk (lacto = milk). Guest guest
Hello Sally No its not for me its for my aspie alcoholic mate. Im virtually tee-total. I occassionally drink but not to excess. Can LDN help with that? Ive noticed that his choice of alcohol is beer! Also he drinks at least a pint of milk every day and craves high fat foods. Hes very self destructive. > > Tryptophane depletion is sometimes asociated to both compulsive > behaviors and sleeping issues, you may search also this path, and > remember that it´s B6 (and other stuff) dependant. I mention this > because most people have enough tryptophane in his diet and B6 is > often too low in ASD. * i dont eat red meat products or cod. I eat fish and poultry and im cf/gf as well. i do like chicken and lots of different seafood products. i am taking 5HTP from Holland and Barretts which contains 50mg of 5htp (i take 100mg), 5mg NE of Niacin (pre diet i had too much Niacin in my diet), 5mg of b6 and 25mg of magnesium. This might explain why i cannot wake up early enough in the morning? Im taking 100mg a night. Is that too much? Ive considered going on a b6 preparation but im not sure whats the best one to take? > To balance neurotransmiters and nutrition -I think- is not something > one could do by himself, I think you need proper testing and pro > guidance. * i cannot afford the testing so i will keep searching to see if i can find the right dosage. Maybe the other group im on would be able to advise. thanks for your help is > Take care >

I noticed a high speed delivery and you would have got excellent results if you were an ebay seller doing this lol. I hope the treating autism charity helps to overcome a lot of anxiety, stress, depression and sleep issues for both the autistics and their parents. Its a mayor issue for me and my aspie mates. > * it could be a number of things, 1, i dont slow down at night i > actually get a lot done including emails, 2, i have a lot on my mind > and if it really bothers me i have to attempt to solve an issue before > going to bed, 3, i dont have a proper bedtime routine, 4, i take my > 5htp 30 mins before going to sleep then loose track of time and wake > up again. > >>>That sounds much like me really except I don't take 5HTP as it made me ravenous and I am already bustin out of my clothes LOL ** Oh so thats not my imagination then?
