Guest guest
Hi Rhonda! I do buy Kashi cereal and love it. I buy the three pack that has the O's, twigs, and the real crunchy kind. I usually eat 3/4 cup, with skim milk and then of course my protein portion. I like it in Cottage cheese with a little fruit. > > The box says " seven whole grains " . Is this a good brand of cereal? Have a look here at the Kashi website: http://tinyurl.com/hdrkz For a 3/4 cup only 110 calories, 1.5 grams fat but no trans or saturated fats, 25 grams carbs of which 5grams are fiber! and only 5 grams of sugar, with 4 grams of protein - then look over the list of ingredients which is really really good stuff. joni
Guest guest
Oooh... I haven't tried the Honey Oats. I just looked at the ingredients, and Joni is right... they're pretty amazing. I have tried the GoLean Crunch, which is incredible. The caloric content is a bit higher, though, and it does have sugar added in the form of: evaporated cane juice crystals, brown rice sugar and honey. I can eat that one out of the box, or I love to put it in my yogurt.
Guest guest
I don't about this product in particular, but one of the guidelines I read (not in BFL, but elsewhere) is that a whole grain product should have a minimum of 2 grams fiber per 100 calories. Otherwise, there is not really enough whole grain in there. Rhonda wrote: The box says " seven whole grains " . Is this a good brand of cereal?
