Guest guest
Angie, tingling in your extremities can be a result of fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or various medications. Yes, you should absolutely mention it to your rheumatologist at your next appointment. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
For about a year, I would be awakened in the middle of the night with extreme tingling in my legs. It happened only occasionally, so I couldn't pin it to a certain reason or time. I told my Rheumy and he just shrugged. It must not have been important. Guest guest
Sherry, I think so. What I've been feeling lately is like my entire body has a light sunburn and the skin just feels irritable. Sometimes it itches but most times it...tingles...I guess would adequately describe it but it definitely is bothersome and hurts. My understanding from doctors is that it is the sensory nerves that cause this.
Guest guest
Thank you very much , I see my doctor next week and tell him what I think it is thanks to you. I swear some times when I tell him stuff or try to explain what is happening he looks at me like I have lost it.LOL Then I start thinking I have. So I thank you again. Take care Sherry
Guest guest
Sherry, I usually get the feeling that doctors don't believe you or are thinking that you are trying to get disability/sympathy by making stuff up. Then, they sometimes just don't bother to note your symptoms in your records because they think it's in your head. Not to sound sexist although I guess it does, but I get the impression that doctors tend to blow off female's complaints more often than they do male's complaints. Just make sure your doc puts how you feel in your chart! Guest guest
Ok thank you I'm going to start to watch everything he writes. He is just my GP that I'm going to see. I had to bring all the information I had about CMT to him because he had no clue. Thanks to Gretchen and everybody else that have posted stuff here I can clue him in more. It is pretty bad when you have to clue a doctor in. LOL Thank you again and take care Sherry
