Guest guest
Donna B., Even I fall - a few times a year - and always when I'm overtired (and won't admit it) I had a physical therapist show me how to fall - forward, like I am tucking in to go into a sommersault. Once on the ground, I stay there, get myself seating 'indian style' - slowly move legs, arms, fingers, feet, checking for breaks and pain. I keep sitting there for about 5 minutes and do some very deep breathing. (calms the body down - after all a fall is a shock to the body). By that time Wiggles is licking my face (Lillie used to run right over to me and pull me up). Wiggles makes me laugh when she licks my face, it makes me feel 'lighter'. From there I play with her and the many doggie toys - so about 1/2 hour later, I roll over, get up on my knees, and begin to stand. A physical therapist showed me how to do this too. Really sorry about your fall. Take good care while recovering. ~ Gretchen
