Guest guest
This is what it says on the outside of my very out-of-date box. " Albustix - Reagent Strips for Urinalysis " made by Bayer 50 test strips These strips just test for protein (albu = albumin/ protein). I think diabetics sometimes use them. I definitely got them at a pharmacy, but that was years ago. I do remember having to ask the pharmacist at the time as they were classified as POM/pharmacy only medicines, but I didn't need a prescription. Hope this helps!! > > > > I'm not sure what the probabilities of false positive results > > are, as I > > > was just speaking with the nurse and she indicated that sometimes > > if the > > > urine collection is from a nappy it could be contaminated (so let's > > hope > > > this might be it) but until then, I don't know.
