Guest guest
I cannot address your question about how B & BW makes their sugar scrub but offer the following: I'm not sure what you mean by " without chemicals. " I make a kick-butt sugar scrub but I always use a preservative. My scrub does not contain water but the possibility of water being introduced into the container is high because it's usually beside a bathtub or in a shower enclosure. And hands are usually went when scooping out the scrub for use. Hence, the preservative, a chemical that is absolutely necessary. If you're trying to go natural, please understand that bacteria, fungi and mold are also natural organisms. But I certainly do NOT want them living in my sugar scrub. Think about it--sugar feeds living things and water makes them grow. As far as the slimy oily feel is concerned, if you use a great heaping glob of the scrub it will leave an oily film and will clog your drain. A quarter-sized scoop will do one's face nicely. Also, I recommend my scrub be used no more than twice weekly anyway because of its exfoliant properties. I'll be happy to share my recipe with you off-list if you will send me an email. julez ******************************************************** I could try to duplicate it some but without the > chemicals etc...
