Guest guest
woohooo!!!!!! keep it going!! I used to hate the cardio too, until I started running outside. Something about being outside just invigorates me. Now I'm spinning and being inside has become a new challenge, but the goal makes it worth the effort! Day 2 of 84 Good morning! Yesterday I ate on plan, and got my workout in. Today my arms are sooooo sore, and I love it. It has been so long since I worked out, I forgot how much I enjoy that feeling! Having said that, getting out of bed at 4:30 this morning to go do cardio was still a challenge. Cardio is my least favorite thing to do - but if it helps get rid of the fat, I'll suffer through it! lol
Guest guest
I really wish I could learn to enjoy running! I just don't. I could walk all day on the treadmill but getting me to run longer than 2 minutes at a time would be easier than solving peace in the middle east. Unless there's a very angry bear chasing me....it just doesn't happen. Any suggestions? ________________________________ From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of Brown Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2007 9:51 AM To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 Subject: Re: Day 2 of 84 woohooo!!!!!! keep it going!! They have some bears in Banff National Park (Alberta.) That might do the trick! Just wear layers, so you can strip as you run to distract them.... Or if you prefer more conventional methods, I find dragging a friend along also gets me going until I have the momentum to do it on my own. But running isn't the only thing...riding is good too, you can get your heart rate right up there, without having to 'pound' the pavement. > > ________________________________ > > From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 > [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of > Brown > Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2007 9:51 AM > To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 > Subject: Re: Day 2 of 84 > > woohooo!!!!!! keep it going!! Guest guest
Music is very motivating! So is running for the two minutes then walking for one minute, then running for two more minutes, etc. Small strides to big goals! Guest guest
Right now I'm doing my cardio in 5 minute increments like this: 1 minute at 3.2, 1 min at 3.4, 1 min. at 3.6, 1 min at 3.8, 1 minute at 4.5 (which is a pretty good run for me...I'm short); then I start over. I keep that routine for 25-30 minutes. ________________________________ From: bodyforlifewomensclub2 [mailto:bodyforlifewomensclub2 ] On Behalf Of Lynette Baity Sent: Tuesday, June 12, 2007 1:20 PM To: bodyforlifewomensclub2 Subject: RE: Day 2 of 84 Music is very motivating! Guest guest
Yeah, I agree about the music.. it's made a huge difference to the intensity of my cardio workouts...particularly when I was doing spin cause it's easy to drop back into cruise mode. I don't know what it is but when I hear " U and ur hand " - Pink and " I'm just a girl " - Gwen Stefani, I become maniacal! hehe.. all the best dea xx I really wish I could learn to enjoy running! I just don't.
