Guest guest
Hi! I've been in the group for awhile and have just watched the post mostly. I'm ready to start the program now, but, I suffer from sciatica very badly lately. I can't afford to go to the chiropractor right now, and have excruciating pain, especially after rising in the morning for several hours. I'm at the point now that the pain is constant all day and I can't hardly roll over in the bed at night to get more comfortable. I set a goal for myself a few years ago to look, feel and be better at 40 than I did at 20, but, it hasn't even began yet. Now, I feel like it's essential so that I can have a better quality of life and a longer one. It's not just about looking good anymore. I will be 40 on the 7th of Feb. and I never thought I would be in such bad shape. I used to be firm, muscular and very strong, but, over the past 10 or so years, I've lost it all. I'm about 90- lbs over weight and feel miserable with my shape and my health in general. I'm ready to do something about it, but, this sciatica seems to be an obstable right now. I can't even hardly stand for longer than 2-5 minutes at a time, and then when I sit it hurts, too. Is there any exercises that anyone can recommend for me that you know helps with sciatica? I have the total body gym which is nice because it inclines and puts less pressure on my back, I just haven't gotten into a regimen with it yet. Any other ideas of helping with the pain and strengthening myself would be very much appreciated. Take Care! Sherrie
