Love the stuff. Nearly indefinite shelf life. Works in an atomizer

it's so light. Never made a perfume with it yet but I plan to.

Another great plus for FCO is that it does not stain fabrics! Which is why

it is one of the main oils in my massage oils base.

That's odd. I find, after distillation and fractionation, it has no

smell at all.

Hi Again Folks...

What Adam said, again....<G>.....!

Also....it's action as a diluent is pretty decent, though mostly I use

alcohol....

BTW....lots of folks carry it, even Liberty, after years of griping at

them for not....If you have one of their printed catalogs (which aren't

anymore) it's not listed....

I suppose texture is a subjective thing (I like it)...But as Sandi

pointed out, and I learned from massage folks, it doesn't wreak havoc on

fabrics like some other fixed oils do...

And....it's relatively inexpensive....That, tied to it's shelf life...I

dunno, I've never had any turn rancid, makes it worthwhile to have

around, even for a mostly alky guy like me...

Care...

I've had not one but two bottles of fractionated coconut oil develop a

" soapy/rancid " odor after a year or so. Given the reputation of this material

as having a long shelf life, I thought the first experience was a fluke and I

purchased a second bottle from a different supplier and refrigerated it. The

same thing happened.

It was not so noticeable straight from the bottle, but rubbed on the skin it was

persistent, and ruined many many dilutions I made. (Very important to evaluate

this on the skin, as problems might not be evident on blotters or straight from

the bottle.)
